I’m so glad to say that the 2nd booster I got last Sunday had almost no side effects like I had minorly with the other 3 ones. I didn’t end up getting the passing out exhaustion or flu like feelings like I did with the first 2 and I didn’t get the covid arm like I did with the 3rd one. I had a small, sore, raised red area for 2 days – but it stayed small and then went right away.
I also am not noticing negative side effects from the blood pressure medication either, other than when I had 1 drink when out with a girlfriend for dinner on Friday. I felt it more than I normally feel just 1 drink. I mean, I rarely drink, so I do usually feel it when I have just 1, but it hit me harder than what it usually would. I’m guessing it’s from the meds, but I suppose it could also be because I hadn’t had all that much to eat either – thinking back more on it. And it’s not like I had a big carby meal to soak it up – I had a chicken ceasar salad. As always, it was great catching up with her and like we always say every time – we don’t do it enough. I already can’t wait until the next time. I’m still doing my best with choosing things low sodium and being consistent with taking the meds at the same time every day. I’m not seeing much of a lowering yet when I check it, but it’s only been a week and I know that things can take a while to kick in and work.
Lots of Heroclix stuff this week! Thursday I recorded podcast with Coffee and Clix – well more than a podcast, video too. It always makes me nervous doing video ones. I think it went well though. Here’s the link if you want to check it out! I think that’s it for the podcasts now though in regards to my Canadian National win as I’ve now been on all the ones who’ve asked me to be on.
Both Saturday and Sunday I got to play in pre-releases for the X of Swords set. Actually, Saturday I got to do something that I haven’t done before – I was the judge for the event! I’m glad I had people there that all knew what they were doing and could help along the way, but it went really smooth and I think everyone had fun. No one asked any weird rules questions that I didn’t have answers for. The only odd thing that happened was my first game, where I lost to Devin but had taken more points than him. I didn’t get great pulls on Saturday with 2 rare packs, no swords or tarot cards and went 1-2. Sunday on the other hand was drastically different. I actually pulled 2 primes! I ended up running a theme team with prime Rogue and went 3-0. I ended the weekend doing some US Nationals practice with Adam on roll20. It’s the least I could do from all the help he gave me in prepping for Canadian Nationals. I’m going to try and get another game or two in with him this week if our schedules can align.
Oh gosh is my body ever sore this week! The calves still have pulled muscles. They keep feeling like they’re better, one by one, then the one that feels healed starts hurting again as the other one feels better. And now my lower back has also started hurting. Likely compensating from the legs hurting. I just want to walk darn it! But I don’t want to make the healing take longer so I’m trying to rest as much as I can without missing work.
I put on a really pretty new mani this week. I loved how it looked in the package and just had to wear it. Then I second guessed if I was really into it when I saw it on my fingers. It is really pretty, I just don’t know if it’s matching my mood for what to wear. BUT, I’ve gotten so many compliments while wearing this one – so I’ll definitely be leaving it on for the next while, even if I sorta want to wear something else already. I haven’t taken a mani pic yet, so no pic to share here of it this week.
Not too much more this week so it’s a shorter one.
Until next time, xoxo
