Ready to change your mani? Here’s my favorite way to remove my Color Street lacquer strips.
Tip – you never want to just peel it off. We don’t want you damaging your nails.
Thankfully, because they’re made of real nail polish, you can use whatever nail polish you already like! It doesn’t matter if it’s acetone or non-acetone, either will work. I have used both myself with great success.
First I like to use cuticle oil liberally all around my nailbed to help protect the skin around my nails. Then I saturate a cotton pad with the remover of choice and place over my nail. I like to secure it with either a nail clip or tinfoil.
Wait about 5 minutes, twist the clip and pull it off. Then I take one more cotton pad with remover on it and give one last swipe over my nails to get rid of any residual polish.
Make sure you wash your hands to remove any remover that’s left behind on your skin and then apply cuticle oil again to give your nails some love.
I usually wait a few hours or even a day or two before putting a new mani on, giving my nails a little break from being covered. I like to spoil my nails with frequent use of cuticle oil and hand cream for the little break.
Here’s a video of me doing my removal with both nail clips and tinfoil while using both acetone and non-acetone remover.
